Special Performers Coming To UUMC For Holiday Concert
An afternoon of arias, duets and holiday treasures is scheduled
for 3 pm Sunday, December 3,
in our sanctuary at University United Methodist Church.

We are pleased to welcome internationally acclaimed tenor Thomas Booth.  He has
performed widely in opera and concerts throughout the United States and around the
world.  He has sung with the Metropolitan Opera, the New York City Opera, the Lyric
Opera of Chicago, the London Philharmonic, the Israeli Symphony Orchestra
and the Stockholm Royal Philharmonic.

Mr. Booth will be joined by soprano Laurel Beard, a versatile performer with
experience as a performer in opera, chamber music and musical theatre.  Among a
wide variety of roles, she had the part of Violetta (La traviata) with the 17th Annual La
Musica Lirica International Music Festival in Italy.   She is an Adjunct Professor

at Illinois Wesleyan University and currently studies
under the internationally acclaimed tenor, Harold Meers.

Together these accomplished performers will combine with our own stellar pianist,
Andrea Molina, to bring us an afternoon of arias, duets and holiday treasures.

The concert is the latest installment
in the Heart of the Artist series of performances hosted by our church.

All are welcome to join us for this special occasion.   There is no charge for admission;
a freewill offering will be taken during the concert.
The church is located at 2818 N. University, in Peoria.

Please come and enjoy three world-class performers in what will surely be an
inspiring start to the Advent Season.
